What American Traders does
American Traders Group is an experienced Consumer Electronics distributor of video game software, hardware, and accessories. We are located in North Los Angeles and ship across the United States daily, typically to Miami and internationally in Latin American, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Our company was founded in 2000. We specialize in game consoles, accessories and tablets. To meet the urgent demand of a world health crisis, we leveraged our experience and partnerships to provide PPE in 2020.
We provide stock for larger chain stores & department stores (regular orders 10,000 – 20,000 pieces daily), other distributors and wholesalers, and small businesses (regular orders 20 – 100 pieces). All freight is included in the quote, we prepay freight.
No order is too small or too large. We are dedicated to establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and partners.

Our History
In 1992, Fred Taavon began working in Retail Electronics. Then in 1994, Fred Taavon transitioned into Wholesale Electronics.
He founded his own company called American Traders in 2000. American Traders became an Authorized Distributor of Samsung OPTIO (Digital Cameras) in 2004. The company grew in 2005, establishing a Panama branch. We became a Sony Recording Media authorized distributor in 2006.
In 2010 Fred Taavon established Maverick Logistics in Miami Florida. In 2011, the Panama organization became an Authorized Distributor of the Sony PlayStation for Sony Latin America. In 2014, Panama added Samsung Electronics as an Authorized Distributor.
Due to complications relating to COVID, offices in Miami and Panama were closed for the time being. Today, all business is solely based in Los Angeles.
